Mapping My Run

Last week, amidst a bevy of studying VBA applications and bond valuation, I took a break and went for a run. I regret the fact that I never exercised regularly in undergrad, because I felt so incredibly clear-headed and refreshed after the jog that I was able to bang my way through a few more practice problems. As it turns out, I still struggled on my exam after a particularly long day at work, but all the same, I still recommend running. The warm spell we had, which only ended today, further encouraged me to explore the paths around the house a little more. When I got back, I checked out a site I've had bookmarked for a while: Mapmyrun.com, which has a fairly self-explanatory name. It also has a nifty Google Maps tie-in feature that calculates distance for you. Now I don't have to drag a pace car around with me to figure out how far I've gone!

This map is the general loop I've been trying out lately, though I have an alternate route that takes me northwest to the W&OD trail. I'm still not an "avid runner," and I don't think I'll be tackling any actual races anytime soon, but I can dig this.
