Walk The Plank-o

You know it's going to be a good day when you wake up, turn on The Price Is Right on CBS, and the contestant is playing Plinko. I remember going crazy growing up when my grandmother, who used to babysit me in the summers, would have the show on and Plinko would arrive on the screen like a gift from heaven. I'm not sure what it is about the game - maybe it's the sound the little tokens make as they bump down the pegboard - but I do love me some Plinko. I love it when one gets stuck on the board and Bob has to bust out his Plinko stick-thing. I love it when people look surprised that they keep hitting the zero slot, even though it's all completely random. I love saying Plinko. I love this random Plinko fan's site, even though the colors are a little too bright.

What's your favorite Price Is Right game?

In traveling news, I'll be leaving tomorrow morning to embark on a multi-day road odyssey. First up is the 2005 edition of the Great Hershey Park Trip, which will mirror the journey detailed in my entries from last year, told in three parts. This time, however, we'll try to avoid camping next to an active freight railroad after touring the park and enjoying the concert.

After Hershey, I'll be spending a few more days with Gina doing fun tourist stuff that we didn't get a chance to do last time. I'll post when I'm able!

I always liked that game with the Austrian/German yodeling mountain climber. Lol! What's that called again? I can't remember the name or what the point of the game was, but I remembering being on the edge of my seat hoping against all odds that he wouldn't over-step the cliff!

Oh mylanta! I just had a moment like that yesterday...Turned on CBS as the show was coming back on after a commercial, they called the next contestant to come on down and it was an elderly man...I love it when the old people get into it! Well he had the closest bid so he went up there with Bob and his t-shirt said, "I've been watching Bob since we both had brown hair..." and then Bob was like well you'll surely know how to play....Plinko! It was so great--on his final turn, the token went in the $10,000 so I think his total was over $12,000..I hadn't watched the show in a long time, so it was an enjoyable occasion for me.......Anyways, I'd have to agree with Gina about the Mountain Climber one, only I liked it when he went over the cliff--it just looked silly to me and I only saw it a few times.....Some other favorite games of mine were the price thermometer range thingie where you had to get the price within a certain range on the price thermometer, but Bob would say that once you pushed the button that was it, because it couldnt start again for 37 hours or 23 hours (as opposed to the good ole' 24 or 36) And I also liked the one where you had to choose either a higher or lower number for the numbers in the price of the car and then you'd have to say out loud, "gentleman (or ladies), do I have 1 number right? And then it would go ding ding ding and you'd keep on asking until that bad sounding horn came on which meant you had to make a change...I loved that show when I was a little kid and I still love catching one every once in a blue moon...Pardon the little play on words here, but the truth is you can't go wrong with "The Price is Right" : )
