Dateline: Albuquerque
Like Ben Folds says, "I've landed." I'm in the hotel in the 'querque with some free Internet access, so I'm taking advantage of it. It's really hard to believe that I'm here, but so far it's been fun. Rather than your average run-of-the-mill compact rental car, the guy at Dollar upgraded me to an SUV rather than have me wait for the compact to get out of the garage. Thus, I'll be riding around the city in a little more style over the next day and a half or so.
So far, I'm thinking that I wish I could stay a little longer to see what the city is like. As it stands now, I'm coming up with some stuff to do after I'm done with official business tomorrow. We'll see what happens!
Just don't forget to take that left turn...
Once we both start working and/or get on regular schedules, and have a little extra money in our pockets we'll go back to the 'querque and chill out!
ALBUQUERQUE?? Bret, I can't wait til you come live up in the metro area with all of us weirdos. I've heard talk, however, that the Navy offices in Crystal City might get shut down. I hope this doesn't effect your job! Good luck, see you soon!
I miss watching 24 with the harem already :( Just wanted to say that I called Secretary Heller's son being with the guy and NOT the girl befo' he said it, and I also called for someting bad to happen to my dear friend Tony Almeida (Actually called for his demise :( Guess we'll have to see what happens. Hope youre having fun in Albuquerque! Oh yeah, and congratulations on Graduation!
KATIE!!! HE HASN'T WATCHED 24 YET!!! He was on the AIRPLANE while it was on! Way to ruin it. Gosh!!! :-p Just kidding!
Anyway, Bret! I'm glad you're having a good time. Yay for free internet and rental car upgrades. :) I guess the 'querque is treating you well. I'm glad you like it, but don't go moving out THERE!!! I don't know what I would do! :-p
Randomness: I'm gonna go make that peanut butter pie now...which will probably be long gone before I see you next, but we can...I mean YOU can (now that you're an experienced chef) make another one when you come up here. :-p
Love you! TTYSoon :)
I'd just like to say that, even though there were many instances where the events of this week's 24 could have been revealed to me, I managed to still be surprised and entertained by the episode, in that I didn't remember what you'd written in your comment before I watched it, Katie. (Thanks for sticking up for me, too, Gina.) I kinda thought that maybe Heller's son was gay when he was so reluctant to talk about his visit with the couple, and yes, I knew the guy that Tony was with was dead and that something bad was going to happen to Tony. I don't, however, think he's going to die next episode. I'd be mad at them if they killed him off.
Also, for you season one and two fans: is the girl that's holding Tony hostage the infamous Naked Mandy, who singlehandedly blew up an airplane to put season one's events in motion and gave Palmer the anthrax at the end of season two?! Is it?!
The season finale is gonna be good!
I'd also like to say to Otey that sure, maybe we can go back and hang out in the 'querque. And thanks for the heads-up about the Navy offices, G. Sounds like I need to make some calls!
