When You Dream ... What Do You Dream About?
It's been a steady week. While a lot of my friends seem to be anxious to get back to school, I'm perfectly content to stay at home. It's not that I'm not looking forward to the semester - I am - but I've kept myself occupied with webpagery, cleaning, watching Christmas DVDs, and other various creative side projects.
It's a happy time.
Which makes the dream I had last night that much more out of place and weird. I was at my Grandma's house with a bunch of kids, whom I didn't recognize and wasn't related to. We were all on the front porch, except for one boy who was playing out in the yard. In a twist of events that only a dream can deliver, tiny hands began popping out of the ground near the boy, trying to grab him.
You would think this would be something to be concerned about, but no one was freaking out, myself and the boy included. While the hands began grabbing the boy's leg, their owners turned out to be Cabbage Patch Kids dolls, fully alive and apparently no longer content with living underground. Some of the children on the porch yelled at me to get my camera and take some pictures of the spectacle. I didn't want to do this at first, so I yelled at one of the kids to go get it from inside the house, which they did. After I got the camera, I hopped down from the porch. When I landed in the yard, more of the dolls started popping out of the ground and looking around.
What's this dream's meaning? What's the analysis? Man, I ain't even gonna touch this one. I don't put much stock in dream analysis, anyway, but according to one dream site, I might want to think twice about purchasing property, or maybe I desire to be different. Of course, I could just be content with domestic affairs and business interests, but I have to watch out for insincerity.
Like I said, I don't buy it. At any rate, Gina and I have been having lots of crazy dreams this week, and I hope they continue. I think they're fun, like watching a movie in your sleep.
